My name is Jody Rust. I am currently a graduate teaching assistant in the master’s writing and rhetoric program at South Dakota State University. I graduated from Indiana University, and I am a thesis shy of a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Indianapolis. I have more than twenty years of teaching experience in secondary education, ten years experience writing for the West River Eagle (a small town weekly newspaper), and five years’ experience with curriculum and assessment writing companies. My teaching experience includes working on the Diné Nation, working with students at Larue Carter Memorial Hospital and the Wayne Township school system. The past ten years I have taught on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation at Cheyenne-Eagle Butte High School and the Oglala Lakota College.
